About Giuseppe Innocenti
Giuseppe "Beppe" Innocenti, born in Scarperia in the Mugello, is a painter of the light-toned "chiarista" manner who lived and worked in Florence. He was one of the founders of the Centro di Cultura Toscana Arte, the artists' group led by the Livorno painter Giovanni March: in February 1971 the group's manifesto and logo were created in the Via dei Benci studio he shared with the painter Bianca Nelli, the same address that appears on this work's label. He painted mostly landscapes, especially woods and snow scenes, and flowers.
