About Romano Mussolini
Romano Mussolini (Forlì 1927 – Rome 2006), son of Benito Mussolini and Rachele Guidi, was best known as a jazz pianist: he started out under the name Romano Full and, leading the Romano Mussolini All Stars, played with Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie and Lionel Hampton. He began painting in Naples in the years after the war. His figurative painting favours clowns, the subject he is best known for, along with landscapes and women's faces. In 2004 he published a memoir, «Il Duce, mio padre».
