1 work
Deanna Borchi, born in Campi Bisenzio near Florence in 1944, began painting in 1970 and was drawn to informal, non-figurative painting. She works with palette knife and brush, laying the paint on thickly in a palette of yellows, ochres and browns. Marine subjects are central to her work, the sea, boats, sails and harbours, linked to childhood memories of the Tuscan coast. In 2017 she exhibited at Palazzo del Pegaso, seat of the Tuscan Regional Council, whose collection holds her painting «Il Raduno».
